In her latest release, Elaine and her quintet pay homage to the vocal LPs made famous by the George Shearing Quintet of the late 1950s/early 60s. With songs made famous by Nat King Cole, Nancy Wilson, Dakota Staton, among others.
“A solid, smart set that doesn’t need bells and whistles because it’s powered by chops that go the distance. Jazz vocal fans can count on this for a good time.” –CHRIS SPECTOR, Editor and Publisher, Midwest Record
Featuring: Jonathan Alford, piano; Pierre Archain, bass; Alan Hall, drums; Gerry Grosz, vibes, and Randy Vincent, guitar.

Elaine released her very personal project, “A Sonny Day,” in July 2006. Dedicated to her late father, Frank “Sonny” Lucia, the CD takes the listener on a musical “day-in-the-life” journey, from early-morning sunrise, (with the intro song, “I Like The Sunrise”), to sunset (“Final Remembrance”). Elaine wrote music and lyrics to the track, “I Call You Sonny”, and also wrote the lyrics to vibes player Gerry Grosz’s original music on “Final Remembrance,” as a final prayer to her father’s spirit.
Featuring: Jonathan Alford, piano; Pierre Archain, bass; Alan Hall, drums; Gerry Grosz, vibes, Dave MacNab, guitar, Michael Goodell, guitar (on “I Call You Sonny,” and “When The World Is At Rest.”).

Elaine:
Some of us San Francisco folks are fans but cannot make it up to Napa or beyond to hear you sing. Do you have ANY plans to sing in SF again sometime soon? Will Gerry G be accompanying you?
—stt
Sarah, two of the SF clubs I sang in quite a bit last year are now closed.
I hope to find another venue in SF again soon; meantime I am booked quite a bit through out the Bay Area. Look for my newsletter/calendar updates via email. And thank you for listening!! elaine
Hi Elaine,
Remember me? We met at Steakhouse “The Flame” in Countryside, IL, last Summer.
We were there with friends (a.o. drummer Rusty Jones and singer Marc Pompe).
I found your website and listen to some of your songs. Great work!! I especially loved your rendition of “Key Largo” with the late Bud Shank. What a great song, and you sang it just right! I will purchase this CD!
Hope our paths will cross sometime and I can see you perform!
Stay well,
With Love,
Helen Sachs.
Hi Helen,
We didn’t meet in IL…I’ve never been there! I think we met in Los Angeles….
Thanks for putting me on the list. Heading to the east coast? Jazz Corner in SC, by any chance?
Robert, I would love to come to the east coast to sing…feel free to pass my website on to your friends at Jazz Corner!! And thank you for listening…elaine
