In her latest release, Elaine and her quintet pay homage to the vocal LPs made famous by the George Shearing Quintet of the late 1950s/early 60s. With songs made famous by Nat King Cole, Nancy Wilson, Dakota Staton, among others.
“A solid, smart set that doesn’t need bells and whistles because it’s powered by chops that go the distance. Jazz vocal fans can count on this for a good time.” –CHRIS SPECTOR, Editor and Publisher, Midwest Record
Featuring: Jonathan Alford, piano; Pierre Archain, bass; Alan Hall, drums; Gerry Grosz, vibes, and Randy Vincent, guitar.

Elaine released her very personal project, “A Sonny Day,” in July 2006. Dedicated to her late father, Frank “Sonny” Lucia, the CD takes the listener on a musical “day-in-the-life” journey, from early-morning sunrise, (with the intro song, “I Like The Sunrise”), to sunset (”Final Remembrance”). Elaine wrote music and lyrics to the track, “I Call You Sonny”, and also wrote the lyrics to vibes player Gerry Grosz’s original music on “Final Remembrance,” as a final prayer to her father’s spirit.
Featuring: Jonathan Alford, piano; Pierre Archain, bass; Alan Hall, drums; Gerry Grosz, vibes, and Dave MacNab, guitar.
