San Francisco Bay Area Jazz Vocalist and Singer Songwriter
ELAINE LUCIA
This lady is on my A list. Get her a gig in So Cal!
Elaine Lucia demonstrates perfect tone…in fact, it’s rather astonishing just how firmly she has those vocal chords under control, well nigh unto an opera singer’s discipline.
Lucia’s respected for her talents…If you’re a connoisseur of the human voice, mellow jazz, well considered torch-romantic songs, or all three, this is your disc. Have a glass of wine ready.
Lets Live Again (Songflower Records) is delightful…
I wouldn’t be surprised to find that she is a professional studio singer and indeed, her own smoothly rendered backing vocals on several tracks point in that direction…her focus on this CD seems not so much on improvisation as it is on communicating the lyric. Lucia sings with an enviable emotional authenticity.

This time of year is so poignant; many of us remember those we’ve lost and are thankful for their presence in our lives. We all must go through it, and though it is so painful at times, there is comfort in sharing our memories with others. This is one aspect of Facebook that I think is special…community is what we’ve made it here on-line. It’s strange but still reassuring in a way. Here is a song by Gerry Grosz that I wrote some lyrics to when I lost my father eight years ago last month. I hope it brings comfort to anyone remembering their family and friends who have passed on. Peace to all, elaine
